Re: Mystery Plane Query...
You're heading for a heart-attack if you are worried by the prospect of WW.2 hi-viz waterborne flying drones over your house!! Best you use the power of Google/Wikipedia before promoting National hysteria... or just 'chill' & have another toke?

Supra, without patronizing either of you, as this is the newbie forum for less knowledgeable members to post their questions bretwalda007 has every right to ask the question! If this offends you perhaps you should avoid the newbie area. Remember, we all had limited knowledge once..............

D'accord!
Some years ago one of these visited Windermere- couldn't be there for its arrival, but got a stonking shot of the Sunderland on splashdown a year or so before. However, when the Cat was due to leave I went back on a very misty day only to run out of film when she was abeam me at circa 100 feet.
Enjoy the Forum

Project Hawker, a little bit of info for our Northern members (borrowed from Scotavnet) :-
Saw in this months Flypast that Plane Sailing's Catalina is setting off on a round Britain trip to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Circuit of Britain race, a Daily Mail sponsored competition for the first "waterplane" to circuit Britain. It appears no-one was successful but Harry Hawker got the furthest!
Found details on their web-site which includes several points round Scotland including a couple of days in Oban. Relevant dates/time's from their web-site below.

(Display application has been made broadly open to allow for a display at anytime throughout Friday or on Saturday morning to allow for weather issues. If weather is good then it will be Friday morning.) Aircraft open for inspection at Oban Airport in afternoon with short local flight late afternoon.Day 4 – Saturday 24 August1100 Depart EGEO Oban and overfly Oban Harbour then coastal route south to overfly North Coast and Kiells (Hawker set down for repairs here)
No doubt times may change so worth keeping an eye on their web-site (http://projecthawker2013.com/) or Twitter (@ProjectHawker).
