Evening all, I'm Joe, 69.5 years old, from Dublin & should have joined FC years ago. Been hanging around aeroplanes the last 60+ years. Interested in all things aviation, more leaning towards military than civil, mainly because of the noise.

During 2025 I managed, along with some follow reprobates, to get to Albacete for the TLP for the first time (did several at Florennes previously). Visits to Coningsby, Lakenheath, Las Palma, Landivisiau & Mildenhall also happened.

Great & all as these visits were, I miss Shackeltons, Hastings, F-4s, Transalls, F-104s, Vulcans, Victors, C-141s & all the other types that made us gasp & go for a few beers & banter!

Hi to all. I worked in the aerospace sector as part of my apprenticeship at Flight Refuelling Ltd from the mid-70s onwards and worked on Canberras and Sea Vixens....specifically the D3 project. I then worked on the VC10 tanker program on secondment to BAe at Filton. Am now happily retired.

Hello,

I’ve been recommended to get myself on here by some spotters in the community. I’ve to RAF coningsby a few times and looking to get to Lakenheath this year. Look forward to getting by all the insights.
