Meiringen Air Base

Hi planning a trip to Meiringen Air Base this Spring.
Any advice on anything would be most welcomed.

From the times I've been flying generally starts at 8am, They break about noon for Dinner, generally for an Hour, flying concludes around 5Pm unless they have any night sorties planned.
There is a Café that is open to the general public, but you will pay a different price to the base personnel.
Above the café is also a viewing enclosure, access by stairs or lift.
If you go to the main Gate where people who are visiting the base go there is an office, here the security will generally show you or give you a copy of the days flying schedule.
Most of the Jets are housed in the Caverns to the South of the airbase and they taxi across the main road that runs to the South good taxi shots can be had from here.
There are numerous spots around the base on both sides for good photography.

It's approximately 1hr 20min from Zurich Airport which is not to bad at all. Hopefully get a bit off jet action soon.
