Hello everyone, it is with great pleasure that I joined this important forum of aviation enthusiasts. My name is Alessandro, 51 years old, I am Italian and I live near the Istrana air base, home of the 51 wing Eurofighter. I am a freelance photographer and radio enthusiast. I see that not all the topics are accessible, is there anything I need to do? If someone could kindly explain, thank you.

Hi all!

I'm a newbie here. I live in the Netherlands, grew up like 5k from the old Soesterberg AFB so the F15 is my favorite.

Greetings! Michiel

Welcome aboard, guys. :thumb:

You have to increase your post-count to 10 to view all areas of the forum, DO NOT post 'Nice shots' or similar in the photo sections as this is strictly against the rules (until you are past 10 posts).
See rule 20 :- viewtopic.php?f=6&t=24285

Evening all, long time lurker here. Ex (briefly) RAF, career archaeologist but never tire of aviation. Old enough to know better, insolent enough not to care. Look forward to interacting on here with like minded aviation nuts. Thanks for the open door.

Hi I'm Kevin

I live in Ireland now, but for many years an East Anglian resident up to 2000s and regularly covered all the US and RAF airfields around then. Love seeing posts and pictures about events then.

Sometimes I write pieces for the magazines on Cold War stuff. So I am sure I will end up bugging some of you for information and pictures. Apologies in advance!

You did read the rules? Making good shot posts are against the rules.

It certainly is against the rules if someone has just joined the forum, Gary. :thumb:

Sensible and informative posts only from new members until they have reached 10 posts - maybe some decent sets of photo's (not just one photo in 9 different threads after they've introduced themselves in this section), or maybe some informative news regarding military aviation that hasn't already been posted - there are plenty of ways to get up to 10 posts without breaking the forum rules.

Rule 20 is there for a very good reason (as they all are).

Hi All,

1st Post here - I hope to be able to add and contribute when possible.
I'm from Newcastle and been interested in aircraft since 1978. Try to get down to the likes of Lakenheath, Mildenhall, Coningsby, Waddington when possible - photography is my main interest these days.

Regards

Mark
