Hi,
Probably a basic question but having issues with my Uniden UBC125XLT.
Seemingly only happens whilst visiting coningsby, but most frequencies when active are crackling with tonnes of interference, almost as if the frequencies aren't quite right. Reprogrammed all coningsby frequencies and it still does it, with only some comms on Ground/Zone/Tower being fairly audible
At Waddington yesterday all the frequencies for Waddo were clear and easily audible.
Anything I might have messed up in settings etc?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Scanner Issue
Did you manually program these, or via the ARC software ?
If by the ARC software do a .csv export of all the channels at fault, and re-post them.
If not write out the faulty channel list and post

I'm struggling to understand why this has been posted in the Newbie section, surely it should be posted in here? :- viewforum.php?f=182

Re: Scanner Issue
Are the “bad” channels set to AM, or have they been changed to FM ?
Re: Scanner Issue
Speaker on the 125xlt is poor I found, Alot of comms come through distorted.
Re: Scanner Issue
Is there an antenna that is suited to the reequencies military use? I upgraded from the stock on but still get very poor performance on mine. Thanks
Re: Scanner Issue
You could try using a search engine to find out about products by Watson Antennae
I use a couple of different ones for my mobile scanners and they give great performance

Re: Scanner Issue
You could be picking up some sort of local interference?
Maybe raise the level of the squelch until the noise is gone ?
