Do the ex RAF machines ever move around? I took the very enjoyable Dragon Rapide flight from Duxford last week, over Cambridge, and managed to get a decent aerial snap of the airfield. I could see the three visible from, and facing, the car dealership, five in front of the adjoining hangar, four nose-on to the next hangar and two more parked directly in front of that hangar. There was then one (definitely not RAF, possibly Indian) east of the control tower, three or maybe four in front of the old terminal building. Finally, there was what looked like a Herc alongside the engine test bay but it was too blurry to suggest whose. Looked to be silver but that might just have been the sunlight.

Obviously, any that were being actively worked on will move quite a bit but if there are 14 ex RAF machines waiting for new homes, do they need to move them to stop them seizing up maybe?

Anyone know which Omani was outside today @ 12:00? Heat haze was an issue!

505 is a standard C130J , but 525 is a stretched C130J-30. Maybe that helps if you were able to see the full airframe.

Also, not that I have been down to have a look to see which it is currently outside, 525 has the larger Omani flag on the tail compared to 505. Further, 525 is a glossier paint than 505.
