08:15 Just heard 169228 is outside at Cambridge

228 and 4 RAF ones outside at the moment. Can anyone help with the RAF ones for the record.

I would think these three are most likely to be 3 of them (they've been in the same spots every time I've passed by recently and didn't seem to have moved when I saw them yesterday, but couldn't read them off due to the heat haze - but I don't know for certain, and have no idea about the fourth

Passing by early this afternoon, only ex-RAF ZH866, ZH878 & ZH879 visible outside.

Same again midafternoon today.

This afternoon (Sat May 20 at 5 PM) outside were USMC 169228 and five ex-RAF C.4 aircraft: ZH879 at the tower next to the USMC; ZH865, ZH866 and ZH872 in the front of H17; and ZH878 (in old paint) on the side of H17 behind GRE.

170272 in the left hand hangar from crash gate 4 , can just see the nose

As I left I noticed 229 has gone a bit awkward behind two RAF Hercs so probably need to walk down to the public footpath around the field depending on how much you need to see of it

926 and 229 easily read from footpath but plenty of heat haze. Any update on 228 departure please? Crew door is open but that's all.

When the Norwegian returned this afternoon, there were 6 ex RAF Hercules outside (including the newly arrived ZH869) and yesterday's USMC special-tailed arrival.

167926 was the sole USMC tanker outside at the end of the working day today.

5 ex-RAF Hercules were outside, including ZH869 & ZH879 - the most notable, however, being ZH888 near to the tower (numbers painted over, but visibly shorter than the others and lacking the bulge towards the rear of the fuselage that the C4 have.

Norwegian 5699 departed back home today, around lunchtime.

Just the five ex-RAF Hercules outside this afternoon, including ZH888.

I visited the airport at about 1400 hrs on Thurs 25th May.
167926/QD was between the hangars.(star on fin)
169229/QH near tower and RAF c-130s.
Another USMC KC-130J was in the hangar which backs onto the terminal,as Slogan 51 saw 170272 in the hangar opposite on tues,by process of elimination this would be the only other USMC Herc present,can anyone conferm this??

Is ZH877 inside or parked out? Its the one that I have always missed or just departed before I arrived.
