Are these Typhoons still in store at Shawbury or did they move on ?
Also where can I find an up to date list of stored aircraft in Shawbury please.

Note this only lists aircraft that are permanently withdrawn from use, not in sustainment storage.

Are any of these outside or are all inside in bits?
Re: Shawbury Typhoon arrivals - To be updated
Intact, and inside.
And as they don't do trips around the storage unit as far as I know. The only time they will probably appear outside is on a truck to Warton, or the scrapyard if they do RTP on them at Shawbury....

Thanks, just been reading all about the Tranche 1 in AFM. Hard to take in that some are already scrapped.

I'm slightly disappointed that Blackjack appears not to have been preserved and that it looks like Moggy might not be preserved either. Shame really 2 fantastic colour schemes....

Maybe they would have preserved one or both if you had been more than "slightly disappointed"

Re: Shawbury Typhoon arrivals - To be updated
At the end of the day they are just nicely painted aircraft and as a result of their paint schemes they have also been seen an awful lot by enthusiasts and public alike. Jets like ZJ927 are the ones which should be preserved (if any) having come back from Op Ellamy with 56 bomb marks painted just below its canopy as a result of its service there. By the way, ZJ927 was sent to Shawbury (without fanfare because it wasn't painted in a fancy scheme) back in 2018.
