Couldn`t agree more sponge, it is meant to be fun.

However, the purpose of a GB is to have a theme and to have rules that stick to that theme. I had assumed everyone would have realised that this GB was for aircraft from the motherland only as per the disscussion in the thread. It seems that there is a lot of thinking `outside the box` from members, which is great, but not what this particular GB is about.

I`m sure we can arrange an Aggressor GB in the very near future if the demand is there. ;)

Oh bum. As it's academic now, this was my idea -

It was a BDRT airframe painted like this in 1982, for around 12 months.

Steve there's nothing to stop you building it in the normal WIP section. It just wont be eligable for the GB and as such wouldn't be counted in the final vote but I personally would love to see it built  .

Steve, that`s a great scheme and a great idea.

How about you leave it for a couple of months and enter it into the next GB.

I quite like the idea of an adversary GB if the support is there and we can always include decoys into it as well. Is there an interest from you lot in that?
If so, I`ll sort out dates, a suitable prize and add a chat thread.

Oh a world wide (ie both east and west) Aggressor GB of all ages sounds perfect! I really want an excuse for an F-16 in 1/48!

Had a another long think about this Dave and I`m going to have to say no this time as I`m following the `letter of the law` and rules. Sorry. :(

However, you have raised a very good point.

Most space programs are linked to the military and I think space craft should and will be included in relevent future GB`s. ;)

That's fair enough. Just thought I'd ask, as I'm about to start building something Gagarin related.

I'll try and dig out a Mig of some sort instead.

I refer you to rules 3 and 4 comrade.

3. Entries should have a WIP thread, in the WIP section with all major stages of construction covered.
4. Please head your WIP and finished build `RED STAR GB` followed by the aircraft`s designation. ie `RED STAR GB - MiG 15`.
