Here's my entry. Hopefully i'll try and get a second done by the deadline.
SR-71 Blackbird 61-7974 'Ichi Ban'
974 was one of the first 3 SR-71s deployed to Kadena AFB in 1968, and had flown the most "habu" missions (operational sorties) of those 3 at the end of their first rotation. She was given this paint scheme to show the people back at Beale just who the #1 blackbird was ("Ichi Ban" meaning number one in the local language). The large 1 with the habu snake wrapped around it would later be used on other airframes as well, but "Ichi Ban" was always associated with 974 only.

Re: Finished Builds PEA Gallery.
Hi all,
This is my accidental entry into this GB with Revells wonderful 1/144 E-2C Hawkeye. Will certainly be buying another one of these and even a Greyhound conversion in the future.
Which leads me to the main event!

Re: Finished Builds PEA Gallery.
.............As mentioned in the build thread, ive always wanted to build an EKA-3B after being beside them during a week with VASS at Lossie while on ATC annual camp.
Really enjoyed this build although there are a few pitfalls to watch out for on the way. There are bits i could have done better as well but it looks damned good on the shelf!
Hope you like and comments in the build threads please!
Arabest,
Geoff.
