Following on from my foray into rattle-can spraying my 1/72 Spit in silver, I bought a can of gloss black! So it was either a Hawk or something more exotic. It's not exactly exotic and when the gear is down, it's a tail-sitter, but I'm still pleased. Decals from Hannants, paints from Halfords, chopping board from Ikea, slight mistakes from Stella Artois.

Next up, either a 1/72 Vampire or Meteor....can't decide.
edit - The flash doesn't do it any favours, it looks poorly painted at wing tips and other places, but that's actually just the reflection of the flash.

Great build Steve, looks really nice! Gloss black is really hard to do and you've done it well!

Hi Steve
I think you should try the 'Stella' effect more often
IMHO that looks top notch
Well done

Great colour scheme on that chopping board Steve, gives a fantastic wood like effect....
Joking aside, thats a nice finish and having it on the stand really does make it stand out.
