Trumpeter 1/32 A-6E Intruder

Post by PaulN » Sat May 08, 2021 7:00 am

Hi Guys

Another of my all time favourites  this time made with the wings down flaps and slats down to add a bit of extra colour . Its not a badd kit despite its size , and weight  for a complex shape , its fits very well

Made as I saw it on my first visit to Oceana back in 1976 , this is one of the 160+ A-6A's upgraded to A-6E standard in the early 70s :thumb: depicted as a VA-75 " Sunday Punchers" machine from CVW-3 aboard USS Saratoga

AoA decals were used along with Halfords Appliance white and Xtracolor Light Gull Grey and Insignia Red along with Alclad Semi Matt varnish

Thanks as usual for looking

Chewrs

Stunning as usual. One of the best displays I've seen was an A-6 at an air tattoo at Greenham Common in the 70s.
