Trumpeter 1/32 Lightning T5
Hi
Had a bit of a break , in which I attempted the the Lightning T5 conversion of the Trumpeter F!A/2 kit using the Whirlykits resin parts
The conversion its self is very nicely moulded giving the whole new forward fuselage with intake trunking cast in . only draw back being its a bit heavy for a clumsy person like me fit is reasonable , filling is required in quite a few areas , but hey thats modelling isnt it for me personally the worst part was the vac form canopy and interior framing , all I will say is Im glad 3 canopies were included It comes with a vey nice set of decals for an LTF T5 circa 1987 which are very usable I did have to buy a metal nose wheel strut due to the weight , metal main gear struts are included in the kit
Finished using Xtracolor Medium Sea Grey topside , Barley Grey fuselage and Light Aircraft Grey under wing and tail planes finished off with Alclad semi matt varnish
Thanks for looking
Time foe for another (long) rest
Cheers
Paul

Another beauty.
You really should run a master-class to teach us all how to make the instrument panels so stunning and life-like!

Absolutely stunning, Phil
Re: Trumpeter 1/32 Lightning T5
Thanks guys
roger4 , I usually use Air Scales decals and dry brushing
I must admit to not really having enjoyed this build I would give myself a generous 3 / 10 for it
Thanks again

Thanks Paul. I build in 1/72 and Airscale don't appear to do anything in this scale. C'est last vie!

Excellent Paul!
Re: Trumpeter 1/32 Lightning T5
Hi Paul
That is very good indeed. The Lightning is such an impressive subject too. Good to see an unusual one. I think you have done a very good job indeed even if you think it is perhaps not something you are overly happy with....you should be. It again looks very real.
I look forward to seeing each new build you post.
Cheers
Chris
