Re: for Paddy ?
Still got a few bits of detail painting to be done. Awaiting post man...
Particularly around cockpit... And some yellow dashes round canopies.. Decals for them
I loved this jet having lived a few miles away from RAF Leuchars virtually all my life.
Think I need a 43 Squadron Phantom in camo though....

Re: for Paddy ?
I must say its a far better looking scheme , than Black Mike much more imagination I know it was a throwback to to the old Black Arrows Hunter days but IMHO it just didnt suit the F-4 The 43 Sqn jet with black/white spine would look good next to it , then you could do XT874/J in the grey/green scheme (the best ) that carried both 43 and 111 marks

Re: for Paddy ?
Very smart!
I'm finally progressing with my FGR2 after paint issues, in the 56sqd scheme out of the box.
I'm tempted to get at least one if not two more, but undicided on which...

Re: for Paddy ?
Paint arrived today so can get on with finishing it over next few days.
Hadn't thought of the black and white checked... Mmmmm
Like the idea of the camo that was in both 43 and 111....eeek...looks like another two kits then...
Had my Covid jag at 7.30pm yesterday and I am feeling decidedly iffy.... So no model making today
Very glad to have got it though as I work as a Pupil Support Teacher (SEN in England) : 3 days a week and do not feel at all safe at work. Only got it as they had spare from a few no shows. Big relief.
Now, how to justify another two kits...
