Spencer Flacks wonderful Spitfire Mk XIV G-FIRE.
The RAF wouldn't let him paint his aircraft in RAF colours....so he painted them all red!
At the Humberside Airshow in 1981, he brought his Spitfire G-FIRE, Sea Fury G-FURY and Hawker Hunter G-HUNT.
Unfortunately, on leaving the Airshow, he experienced engine trouble in his Sea Fury G-Fury, and crash-landed short of the runway at RAF Waddington.
He was injured, and the Sea Fury written off!
