Revell 1.32 Tornado IDS GN
Hi
Back again with another build , thought I would try to work my way through my pile of Revell Tornados before the new Italeri IDS/ECR comes out later this year , have seen the boring GR4 and although it it has open flaps.slats etc , I think the surface detail of the Revell kit is much finer and its at least half the price
Based on the machine that I photographed at RNAS Yeovilton on 12th July 1996 , when MFG-1 and MFG-2 had been amalgamated into one unit , MFG-2 , hence the squadron badge being the MFG-1 Eagle with MFG-2s Yellow gunsight over it
Painted with Xtracolor RAL greys and Ha-Hen's excellent decal sheet , he does some great German subjects , more to come
Thanks for looking
Cheers
Paul

Looks fantastic. I've got a 1/32 Tornado in the stash so feel quite inspired to dig it out.

Superb
And the size in 1/32 must be incredible

Morning Paul, this looks great. Always liked this camo scheme.
If more Tonka builds are coming up how about one of the really spectacular Tiger Meet schemes? Easier said than done I appreciate when it comes to painting and decals!
Cheers, Dan

Re: Revell 1.32 Tornado IDS GN
Brilliant ...go build it , but be careful of the main U/C , the numbers were transposed for some of the assembly in the IDS version that I used
Thank you Patrick
Thank you ... it is a "shelf filler "
Thanks Dan , all well with you
Not a fan of these modern Tiger schemes , I like proper operational schemes , got airliners for the fancy stuff Next Tornado , will probably be a TTTE one in the original scheme
Cheers all
Paul

Excellent work as usual.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

As has been said already, a stunning build. Always so much detail in your cockpits. Love the idea that you have seen all the airframes you build.
Re: Revell 1.32 Tornado IDS GN
That looks fantastic. It is a good kit. The usual very high standard.
Just putting the finishing touches to my one. I have modelled a 617 GR4 from same kit with some add ons of course.
Nothing like to your standard he kit looks quite impressive in that scale.
Only bit I don't like about it is the bit where the wing goes into body. The hole is adjustable in the 1:48 kit.
Your one looks very impressive in GAF livery
