Lockdown Builds Part Deux

Post by reaper493 » Mon Jan 25, 2021 4:06 pm

Continuing on from my first Lockdown Builds update (viewtopic.php?f=294&t=192061) here is part 2.

Today is day 203 of home working.

Things slowed down a bit over the summer, mainly with being able to do things again, and loosing the want to build, but it picked up are November and here we have the latest two of the bench.

Build number 8 was a 1/10th Tamiya R/c Car as a Nissan Motul Autech Gt-R R37.

The orange hue is the late afternoon sun reflecting off the house.

Number 9 was the Italeri 1/48th F-4E Phantom II, straight out of the box with Xtracolour paints.

Number 10 is the Airfix 1/48 Canberra B (I) 6 with the Raspberry Ripple scheme. This one almost went in the bin on a number of occasions (due to my own fault - I hate white paint), but I'm glad to say I persevered and thanks to PaulN I have been able to complete the decals. Not sure I'll be painting anything white for some time......

Finished with a combination of Revell Aqua Colour, Humbrol Enamles, and Xtracolour paints.

Next ones to be completed within the next month - 1/72 Nimrod R1, 1/48 Phantom FGR2, 1/48 Jaguar GR3, 1/48 Gnat T1.
Then once those are done, 2x Tornado GR4, 1/48 Hunter F6 and a 1/48 Canberra PR9.

Cheers for looking!

Until update 3....

Mike

Superb results in both cases, but I particularly like the Canberra. Well done for persevering.
