1/48th RBAF Sea King Mk48A

Post by PaulN » Sat Jul 11, 2020 4:03 pm

Hi

Here is the Hasegawa Sea King made from the HAR 3 boxing as an updated Belgian example RS-04, which we could see flying over here again one day if the guys in Chard have their way as it seems to have been purchased along with RS-02:thumb:

A few scratch built additions to the kit aerials , FLIR turret etc . Used the DACO decals sheet which was very good :thumb: and Xtracolor paint as usual

An enjoyable build that I know someone on here might just recognise

Thanks for looking

Paul :thumb:

Super result again Paul! This has to be one of the most distinctive helicopter schemes anywhere in Europe. Such a shame they reverted to plain drab green for the NH90s. If it was me you were referring to above, then yes I well remember them, as I logged all five at the Culdrose Air Show in 1976, and they were frequently seen flying over North Cornwall. In later years we used to enjoy the shows at their home base, Koksijde - did you ever go?
