Revell 1/32 Lynx (FN)

Post by PaulN » Sat Jul 04, 2020 7:24 am

Hi
Just finished the Revell Lynx as a French Navy one ...basically a HAS 3 with a few updates

Really like the scheme and when it was pointed out to me that Berna Decals did a sheet for it I was straight on it  I think the darker grey is a bit too dark :( but after I had finished it in a lighter shade I put the MARINE decal on and it was too dark and looked "wrong" , so had to match the paint to the decals :grr: :grr: . Looks more uniform now but......... :( :(

Thanks for looking

Another beauty there Paul. With the few helicopter kits I've made I've never managed to attain a realistic 'droop' to the main rotor blades such as you've achieved here - they always seem to come out of the box dead flat and don't bend of their own accord. Have I just been unlucky or is there a trick to this?

Thanks Kevin

No trick with he blades mate , just how they come out , think there might be a little too much droop on this as Lynx blades are fairly rigid , only thing I can think of that might help is , I put the hub on a flat surface whilst I was letting it dry , and it is slightly raised , no more than a quarter inch so they dried in that position :S :S HTH
