General modelling gallery

Post by viper3111 » Fri Sep 03, 2010 6:57 pm

OK as there are a few people who like the idea of a general modelling section I am happy to trial this for a month or so. If you would like to post a 'general' model on this gallery then please do so by replying to this thread. If you would like to post any civil aircraft then we have a whole model section over on our sister forum CA.

If you are unsure about if you can post your model then please PM me, but basically this is for cars, ships, trains, etc.

That's very impressive, remarkable detailed and weathered look.

I cheated with the zimmerit on this one, its actually a set of PE brass from Eduard  with a bit of filler for continuity on the edges.

It is a kit:

£195.00 of resin, brass etc! Well worth it!

This guy (Howard Whitehead) prodcues some fantastic kits!

Superb mate, some really great kits there  Shame the Scammell Crusader is discontinued though, would've made a nice model in the military variant :thumb:

I finally finished my panzer
I like doing the odd tank as it gets all of the weathering out of my system so I throw everything at them-rust, mud, dirt, grease and smoke.

Any way here it is with my elefant

I will be starting an IL-76 civilian conversion over on our sister site but then I will be back to FC with hopefully something interesting :thumb:

That looks really good andy. I've also got an old lotus to do and that might just inspire me to start. (after the model comp of course)

My first foray into non-aircraft modelling for quite some time. Picked this up last year, and have been building it slowly since then.

Still got a few finishing touches, like painting the string/wire on the crane, as well as the hook, but otherwise it's pretty much there!

You dont need an expensive 'brush to spray camo.
I have got my Iawata that cost about £200 which is a nice tool but I mainly use the one I bought from fleabay for £30. As long as you get one with a 0.3 or 0.2mm needle you will be able to do it :thumb:
