Revell Spitfire Mk.V - 1/72 - Bare metal

Post by SteveS » Mon Feb 04, 2013 5:41 pm

Hi all,

Before the detail-police mention it, yes this is a fictional scheme. It's built OOB with the kit decals, but this was an attempt to see how smooth a finish I could get with an aluminium rattle-can. The rattle-cans are Halford's own, a grey primer followed by an aluminium finish.

In other news, I still can't paint canopies very well, but I'm really pleased with the paint finish!

Nout wrong there Steve. Secret to a NMF is to spray gloss coat first, then metal. But this looks great!
