ICM 1/35 Sikorsky CH-54A Tarhe

Post by PaulN » Sat Apr 01, 2023 11:28 am

Hi Guys

Not posted here for a while , been enjoying myself making other things , but when this kit was first listed , I wanted one :thumb:

After seeing one back in 1972 at North Weald Air Show I was hooked , excuse the pun :) What a weird looking machine , went straight out and bought the Revell 1/72 one

I enjoyed this kit , but was slightly disappointed that it does not come with the pod , although a later release is due with the "Daisey Cutter" bomb

The main problem with building it was the size over 2 fe4t long , kept knocking bits off and things over , other than that quite straight forward

Finished OOB using Xtracolor enamels and Hataka varnish

Thanks for lookig

Paul

Nice to see your work again Paul, top quality as ever. When I saw the post title I was going to ask how big it was, what's the rotor span?

Hi , thank you one and all

Rotor span is 26 inches , its a big beast all round , luckily the blades have been designed well and can be removed from the hub to make it easier to display/store

Thought about the North Weald one , it was 51 years ago where did that time go ?

Cheers
