Re: 1/72nd Intermediate-Advanced Tamiya P-47D - Update 08/05
New airbrush looks like it is working well! You might want to give the aircraft a sand down the side thought, it looks like there is a ridge of paint from that old green you sprayed on.
Re: 1/72nd Intermediate-Advanced Tamiya P-47D - Update 08/05
There is slightly, this was sprayed with a spraycan though.

What variety is the new airbrush?
Re: 1/32 Italeri F-86F Sabre Update 08/05
Very nice Dan
That finish looks really good and so do the decals.

Crickey! Was not expecting that! Didn't even think you had painted it up!
Did you manage to get rid of that seam half way down the fuselage?

Re: 1/48 Advanced Airfix Buccaneer [Updated 05/05]
Looking good Phill - you going to get it sprayed up this weekend? I might get round to doing some of my stuff this evening...pending some serious MATLAB
Re: 1/48 Advanced Airfix Buccaneer [Updated 05/05]
Not sure. That might have to be monday. Done some more today. Got the gear painted and assembled. Just trying to get everything else painted and ready to go on the model as soon as its painted. I will probably finish all that sort of stuff tomorrow and then mask it up for monday (although saying that I've got a lab and then cadets). It will definitely be done by next weekend.

Re: 1/48 Advanced Airfix Buccaneer [Updated 09/05]
Quite a bit of progress this weekend. Basically getting all the mini assemblies completed so that once I've sprayed the bucc I can put them all on.
Here's some photos
Undercarriage
Airbrake assembly
Armament
Seats
Ladders
and finally the bucc masked up
will probably get her sprayed tuesday/wednesday and should hopefully have her finished for next weekend.
Thanks for looking

Re: 1/32 Italeri F-86F Sabre Update 10/05
OK decal-ling finished now, done the drop tanks and bombs as well and started on the undercarriage doors.
Bombs
Drop tanks
Undercarriage doors (Weathered)
Undercarriage Bay
Rest of It
This gives an extent of the amount of decals put on, each block of tiny writing is one individual decal. It was like this along both sides, the top and the bottom
Thats all for now, next step is to get undercarriage on, after that its a matter of varnishing, weathering, finishing off the cockpit and getting all the bombs and drop tanks on!
C&C most welcome again.

Looking good Monty, but it looks like the tailplane has anhedral, surely the F-86 had dihedral - it may just be the photos.

Re: 1/32 Italeri F-86F Sabre Update 10/05
I remembered this from building the Hasegawa 1:32 F-86 way-way back in around 1974! I'm sure it won't take too much to correct it.
