This will be a build of the 1/72 Italeri AU-1 Corsair which can also be built as an F4U-7 with the French, one to be built in the future.

F4Us are my thing

I'm actually thinking of starting an F4U Corsair SIG with the IPMS but there's enough naval aircraft SIGs already in place. I'll probably end up having my own display that I take around to shows. I've been looking at metal signs, collectors items, parts, etc, but i'm making sure I don't buy anything until after xmas!

Well this one has fought me a lot today. I'd hoped to have been at least filling the 4 this evening but so far i've only got the one done so i'm now well behind schedule. The fit of these Italeri kits isn't brilliant, particularly at the wing joint under the fuselage.

This one is now ready for spraying but the rest need to catch up first.

This one just needs stores adding and it's done. Annoyingly I can't seem to find any door numbers in the kit, if i've cut them off then something must have eaten them!
