Got hold of this little kit, along with three other British fighter jets (WIPs to follow). Going OOB apart from the decals which have been ordered from Hannants and should be on my doorstep tomorrow.

Hi SteveS
If you can paint her like Miss Demeanour, then please look at the news, for there will be a pope patrick the first
Black Arrows would be fab; FRADU blue would be fab, Raspberry Ripple would be fab; lets face it, any Hunter scheme will be F A B
Cheers

Here she is, sprayed and dried. Again, sprayed using a Halfords rattle-can.

So, she will indeed be of The Black Arrows! Decals not arrived yet, but any day soon....

The Airfix Hunter is a nice kit, I was hoping she was going to be a Chivenor Hunter but it looks just as nice in black

Does anyone happen to know what colour the undercarriage legs, bays and inside of undercarriage doors were on the Black Arrows Hunters? The Xtradecal set seems rather lacking in detail for this particular scheme.
Cheers

Steve,
Can't find any reference, but I'd guess they would be the same as a standard hunter, as the red arrows have the same as the regular hawk, and the yellowjacks had standard gnat. Only a thought, the gear struts are grey for sure. Sorry I can't be more exact,
Steve

I've seen some Hunters with white gear legs as well. May just do the whole aluminium and be done with it!

I'm afraid it's all academic now, as I dry fitted the rear undercarriage - and she's a tail-sitter!! So, wheels off, doors up and now she'll be a flyer!
