What If I actually did a What if?

Post by tc2324 » Sun Oct 20, 2013 10:57 am

Without sounding like a member from Odyssey, it`s about time I went back to my roots and took a break from the real world stuff.

Here`s the kit with plenty of plastic to keep me entertained.

However I`m not letting on what the scheme will be, but I will need to convert this to FAW.1 version which I understand means shortening the booms so that they finish at the leading edges.

More soon.

The amount of internal detail and structure that goes into this kit means that work has been slow. It`s also that time of year where the kiddies catch every bug around and as yet I`m the only member of the family to just get away with a blocked nose so far.

Anyhoo..., because there is so much construction material to work with on the Vixen, it means that main sections can be built independently and then it all falls together in one hit.

This in turn means that even though I have so much more to do, this will be one of the last posts for this model before the reveal as it`s getting to the point where I need to start spraying parts which would give away the scheme I have planned.

So last night I had this little lot.........,

.... and by morning it had all come together and ended up like this......,

The back is taped up as it`s already in the finished colours and there is still so much more to do.

Thanks guys. :thumb:

Now I know I said that my last post would be the penultimate WIP post, however this is taking forever to complete, so heres my next update which will I`m afraid ever so slightly give away what the scheme will be.....

If I`m honest I wasn`t sure if this would work, however I think it seems to suit it rather well.
