February 7th ~ Milton Keynes Scale Model Club is taking over Stantonbury Leisure Centre, Milton Keynes MK14 6BN and hosting one of the biggest model shows in the country - 'ModelKraft 2010'. Pop along to the show any time from 10am to 4pm and you will see a wide range of amazing miniature hand crafted models of practically every imaginable subject. Cars and planes to boats, figures, science fiction, and war time subject matter. True to life dioramas will present a true slice of life in miniature. ModelKraft brings together, for one day only, over 100 Model Clubs and Traders, showcasing many thousands of the best models as well as suppliers of kits, accessories and tools for the modeller. Modellers of all skill levels are invited to bring their models along and enter them into our well respected model competition with classes to cover all model types. Due to the financial constraints that many of you have, we have kept the entry prices as low as possible, with entry at just £4 for adults and £2 for children and concessions. As an added bonus, you can bring the whole family for a mere £6, giving you a potential 6 hours entertainment from the 10am opening. We always welcome new members at our monthly meetings at the Cranfield University Social club on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 8pm.

July 4th ~ Staffordshire Moorlands inaugural show to be held at the TA Centre, Martin Leake House, Stonor Street, off Waterloo Road, Cobridge Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire ST6 3HJ. There will be a competition for seniors and juniors with Best in Show and Best Club Stand plus a separate competition for the ATC, the ATC local Squadron are to invite other local ATC Squadrons to enter the competition and there will be a Best Squadron trophy. The venue has an off road car parking area for approximately 100-150 cars and a small parking area for traders, car Parking is free. The TA are to provide a chef and kitchen facilities and will man the TA Bar. We will be running a Tombola and raffle to raise funds for both the ATC and 'Help for Hero's'. We are at the moment talking to the TA to see if they can put on some outdoor activities ie a climbing wall etc (which they will run) and the ATC will be running a recuiting stands. We are also talking to members of the South Cheshire Militaire Model Club where some of the members have vintage AFV's which they may be willing to bring along.
