An excellent show as always with some fantastic models and great new products. Included in my personal take on the show are a few pix of the new Alley Cat 1:48 Tucano T.1 and also their 1:72 Balliol/Sea Balliol which is an amazing kit.

My son & I bought the Alley Cat 1:48 Tucano kit and also an Alley Cat 1:48 Canberra TT.18 Conversion set - more on these in due course.

And on with the pix. Include in these are quite a few of a superb example of the Revell 1:32 Hawk, and also Alley Cat's exhibition shots of their lovely new Tucano T.1 in 1:48. I also include a couple of pix of amazing Greek AF models which I suspect may be by some known to this forum.

Herewith my personal take on Perth 2011 - excuse the couple of non aircraft pix, I like them:

Here are my personal pick for this year:

Some corkers in there Rob, many thanks.

Is that a Nimrod / P3 / something else kit bash? Whatever, I like it!

Goodness knows Gooseman - a figment of someone's imagination, maybe you ought to ask our resident "whiffy-fantasist" - not my cup of tea, only included for amusement value.

I was particularly impressed with the lovely 1:32 Hawk shown above, picked up some A2Zee decals for my two. Also bought the 1:48 Alley Cat Tucano kit for Junior, I'll do a box review on it soon.

Hi all,
Spent a couple of hours there as well and i think my favourites have been covered. Had to fight the draw of the Tucano and Balliol at A2Zee but i can always buy them in the future.
Arabest,
Geoff.

I had a couple of long chats with Allie of A2Zee - a real gentleman of the modelling world with a very different approach to most. He was talking in terms of a 1:32 RAF Jet in the relatively near future, but is keeping his cards very close to his chest. I picked up the Sea Vixen canopy/masks set for the Airfix 1:48 kit - he has a whole range of Vixen sets in the pipeline including FAW.1 conversion, and various other mods to include Buddy refueling and a D.3 conversion. I also bought Allie's 1:32 Hawk decals - he's also going to be doing sets for the Revell Hawk in time.

As Geoff says, the Tucano and Balliol are magnificent. Yesterday was the first time i'd seen the Airfix 1:24 Mossie completed - what an awesome model it makes, how Airfix have improved in the last few years. Again A2Zee have some amazing conversions for this kit, the Sea Mosquito particularly appeals to me for the usual reasons.
