SMW 2010, Your thoughts

This was my second year of going and once again I was overwhelmed by the whole show.

The sheer amount of traders, SIGS, models, comp entries, companies and modellers in general is staggering. I like the layout as it allows you to have a good look around without being pushed out the way. Unfortunately I cant sat the same of a couple of the stalls seeling kits, but as everyone seemed to be polite and understanding people they soon moved out of the way to allow you to browse :thumb:

I really enjoy being able to meet and greet the people who supply us with the essential things that we all need in our hobby. Its convenient ordering on the net but you cant beat chatting with the people who design and sell the things.

The quality of the models on show was an eye opener and I have picked up no end of ideas, hints and tips.

It was good to finally meet Andy Evans from SAM publications, top bloke and very friendly. I look forward to seeing more of SAM's books :thumb:

My hotel was nice as well, we stopped at the days Inn at iron bridge. For the price you couldnt ask for a cleaner, friendlier place

The post show chat in starbucks made it even better, so thanks for that beer monster I may have to see if I can do both days next year as Ive got some ideas Im thinking of like a group visit with a stop at the international center hotel itself. we shall see :ninja:

Role on 2011

It is an overwhelming show mate, and to be honest over the two days I spent about ten hours there, and still didn't have time to appreciate all that was on display!
I found the club members themselve's very helpful and always glad to give advice and the food was nice too..ahem..well anyway..
In short, there's something for everyone here combined with a good friendly atmosphere and more kits than you could shake a stick at, it's definately a good weekend to chill out and relax :thumb:
