Who bought what at telford 2010

Post by viper3111 » Sat Nov 13, 2010 3:32 pm

Well I managed to pick up everything on my shopping list which was

Revell 48th phoon twin stick
Kinetic 48th F-16AM
Kinetic 48th Mirage 2000D/N
and as an extra I got the classic airframes 48th meteor T.7 kit.

about 30 bottles of various vallejo model air paints

Alley cat 24th sea mossi conversion
Alley cat 48th shorts SC.9 Canberra conversion

Promodellers SU-24 Build dvd
Various Eduard and big ed detail sets for my 48th spits, 72nd nimrods, 48th Heinkel

Neomega 48th Buccaneer cockpit

Models for sale sanding pad set (they didnt have the individual ones I wanted so I just bought the variety pack)

Various Syhart decals, 2 48th F-16 specials and the 48th hellenic F-4 sheet.

A grip for one of my airbrushes

I cant beleive I came away with money and only bought 4 kits. There was a dragon 35th scale rail gun at half price which kept tempting me but I resisted.

I will be doing a full report on the show next week as Im off work using up some hols but if anyone wants to share any pics or there experiences at the show please feel free as there may have been something I missed  :thumb:

I have seen a few of the `Queens Flight` kits going for silly money recentley. There is a 1 48 Choctaw kit but I cant remember who does it.

Great show today, some seriously good models on display, both on the competition tables and throughout the club and SIG stands

Treated myself to a number of shiny new kits, though I am regretting not getting the Trumpy 1/32 Flogger whilst I had the chance, should've have learned by now to buy on sight

Picked up the following, all in 1/72:

Hasegawa Kate, Frank and Oscar
Italeri C-27J Spartan- brand spanking new, and very nice too :D
Revell B-17G- new tool
Academy F/A-18D
Revell BF 109G
Fujimi Raptor- expensive, but simply stunning

A great day all round :)

Ive heard good things about that raptor and from what I saw of it it's worth it :thumb:

What have they done to the new tool B-17, just re molded it or is there new stuff as well?

Yeh, the Raptor is lush. First kit in scale I've seen with the raised panel work on the surfaces. The detail is much improved over the already excellent Revell kit, particularly in the cockpit. Whether the improvements are worth £20 more I'm not so sure, but, as with the Dragon Meteor, I don;t regret buying it, so perhaps it is worth the money?

The B-17 is a brand new tool, packed full of interior detail, and reasonably priced at £18.99. My only gripe with the kit is the upper turret, which looks too tall and rounded, and the panel detail is perhaps a little heavy in places, but other than that it's lovely :)

Looked for a stall selling technique and inspiration so ended with another Nimrod, to be done as the RAE Bedford scheme, a Revell 1/48F and a box of scalpel blades.
