Hunter question?
I was wondering wether Airfix might have any plans to release a 1/72 Two Seat Hawker Hunter to go with the RAF Blackburn Buccaneer S.2B model?
Re: Hunter question?
Publicly, no.
PJ Productions and A2Zee do two seat conversions for the Revell kit.

Re: Hunter question?
Matchbox produced a T.7 a long long time ago, quite a valuable kit I'm told; until Xtrakit brought out a T.7/8 kit more recently, I bought a couple not long ago and have built one as a Royal Navy "Admirals Barge" subject, looks nice but I had issues with building it.
Re: Hunter question?
Matchbox-goes together reasonably well but nose is far too bulbous, needs some serious filling and sanding to correct.
Xtrakit-short run style with all the usual attributes. Plus for reasons unknown the right(?) wing sits further forward than the other side, taking a lot of work to correct as the join is the same as most other Hunter kits, a recessed area of the fuselage. Also the resin cockpit requires considerable sanding to get to fit inside the fuselage. The supplied seats also have an issue with size, though I can't remember if it was too small or too big!
As I said before, PJ Productions conversion is the way to go. Far easier and more accurate than the above two.
Plus by the Time Airfix MAY bring one out, its going to end up being the same cost anyway..

Xtrakit also produced a 2 seat Hunter. Probably a collectors item by now....
