Mosquito masking

Post by edarter » Sat Oct 01, 2016 5:20 pm

Hi,
I'm after tips not how to do a particularly tricky bit of masking on a revell 1/48 mosquito. It's the first model I've ever used an airbrush on (I know!) and I'm really happy with the results. I'm on the finishing straight with it but I'm REALLY struggling with the clear observation nose masking, the oval frame surrounding the flat glass. The moulding of the nose is one piece and there is precious little in the way of mould lines to help. I've tried 3 or 4 times now to do it without success, having to wipe away the paint and start again.
Ask the available paint make an to be for the tamiya model, or dont have that particular mask included.

Many thanks
Ed

Pre-Cut Masks is what I would reccomend.

Makes spraying etc a lot easier.
