Thanks for the positive responce people, now I know what you would like I can sort it. If you are in agreement I am happy for a Gulf war GB and a russian hardware GB to run along side the current one.

If this is ok then I will get it set up :thumb:

As promissed I have temporarely set up a way of doing all group builds together. You can post your GB down the bottom with the lakenheath ones and then add the finished model to the relevant Galery. I will see if it would be possible to sort out a small seperate thing for each build but so people can get started then this is how we can do things for the time being.

I hope this is ok :thumb:

The two new group builds are 'Gulf war' in any scale and 'Russian hardware' in any scale. These are quite brief titles and can pretty much include any aircraft under the relevant title. The gulf war theme can be from any nation and the Russian hardware can be any russian military aircraft. So lots of scope for some interesting builds I would think.

Shall we say they can run for 3 months and see how peole get on, and add extra time if anyone needs it?

I'll be up for giving the Gulf war build a bash. I bought a Revell 1/48 AH-1 Cobra today before I even read this thread so i'll have a go at that after I finish the CH-46.

As people have been off to shows, holidays and the usual summer gubbins I am happy to let the group builds run until the majority have finished.

If one or more people would like a different subject started in the mean time then please either PM me or just post the idea on here so everyone can add suggestions :thumb:

I would like it if three or more agree on a subject before I start a new one though otherwise it would be a bit pointless

But of coarse people a free to post there individual builds in the WIP and gallery as normal :thumb:

Ive had a thought for a future theme which is 'Blinded by the rising sun' (cheers thunder for the title :thumb: ). This is because Ive always liked the Japanese paint schemes and also I have just placed an order for the decals that are in the 'hows this for a scheme' thread on the general area. Whether I do this one or not in the build Im not to sure as I have a couple of other JASDF machines I would like to do, but we shall see.

So if people are happy with that I will include this in the next set of builds once the current themes have finished.

I would be up for that, I have the F-15DJ in the cupboard although it is very rare for the 2 seaters to wear any Anniversary marks and only a couple are painted in Aggressor colours, but I'm sure I could come up with something. Is my Arab Air Power GB idea still in contention?

Oh no!!! I would take part in both of that GB's so they couldn't be run concurrently as I wouldn't have the time to do two builds.

When would that be? With the Lakenheath, Russian Air Power and the Gulf War all running at the moment it would probably be better to leave it till next year.

please dont take this the worng way but some builds take months ie, Bucc's give each one a chance and set time limits i.e Gulf War GB say 4 months then start the next one ect dont have more than 2 going at once or you will loose everyone

too much all at ones althoug admiral will alienate people

please dont be offended pm me if you have any q or want any help

Thanks for the advice, if no one tells me what they want then I dont know :thumb:

I havnt fixed an exact time on the curent ones as people are of at shows and on holiday so I thought I would give people time to finish there current ones first. After this I would then start 2 and give them a time limit.

How does that sound?

Why don't we ask people what they would like to do? Here's my suggestion.

If we let the the 3 current GB's "Lakenheath through the years", "Russian Air Power" and "The Gulf War" run their course then start again from scratch.

If for example you run each GB for 4 months, you could start with GB No1 on 1st Jan then start GB No2 on 1st March then GB No3 on 1st May and so on.....

This way the GB's overlap one another with 2 running at any one time, this would allow people more time to partake in both if they wish and it keeps things fresh with a steady flow of new subjects filtering through every 2 months.

So what subjects do we do? Well if anyone has any ideas post them up and we can go from there. If Shaun(Viper) and the other members don't mind, I don't mind sorting things out.

So to start things off here's my suggested subject,

Arab Air Power: Any scale, any build method, any materials, use of aftermarket products. Must be of an Air Arm from a country that is part of the Arab League of Nations from it's beginning in 1945 through to the present day.

That sound like a very good idea Scott,

Thanks for the offer to help out but at the moment I have things covered, but if things pick up then Im sure some help will be greatfully received.

I think if everyone is happy with this then that is what we will do, that way there will hopefully be a theme that people will like to take part in. If not then there will be another one started in a couple of months. I like the idea of this :thumb:
