Re: Group build
Just thought of another idea - Experimental Aircraft with a twist - We produce them as Frontline aircraft in Squadron/Operators? It could be classed as a WHIF Group Build

Cheers

Re: Group build
Care to elaborate more on that Jamie?
are we talking for example TSR2's in frontline operation, or the other extreme, british F-111's etc

Re: Group build
I guess the 'Type' would depend on what was availible - TSR 2, Valkyrie, or even dating back to WW2 - It could be a difficult task but could produce some interesting results. Another angle on it could be 'Aircraft we could have bought' i.e F11. we could maybe compose a list and then see what are actually viable options etc
Hope that makes sense?

Re: Group build
Makes sense,
The only reason i mentioned is that some of the experimental kits are hard to come by. If I can input anything to this let me know.... I am also due to start my competition build soon....

Re: Group build
Thats an interesting one, there are some really nice 'what if' decals for the TSR2 and I was going to do one of mine as a 'what if' so I would be up for that. I think that if we stick to an era like the 60's or 70's (it dosnt have to be these, there only an example) then take it from there so we could do TSR2's, F-111's, Valkyries etc etc.
Have I got the gist of what you were saying dude?

Shaun your Spot on Dude!!
It could come out with some cracking results! Chinease markerd Valkyrie or a Indian marked F111
There are so many differnt combinations we could produce! Paint schemes could be optional to different variants or made up to suit them!

Okay i've just fallen in love with the Snow Camo TSR2!!!!!!!
Re: Group build
I definitely like the sound of that, I will see if I can pick the decals up for my TSR2 at telford (I was going to get some any way
) for when we decide to do this. I will add it to the list for when we vote on the first one

Re: Group build
Sorry, I also forgot to mention that the aviation workshop do all the stores and gubbins for these

Re: Group build
Would Australia have bought it in preference to the F-111 ?
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.
Re: Group build
Couldnt say as Im no expert (unlike some on here
),
Possibly, but as this would be a what if then feel free to assume they would and build it
(if thats what people choose for the build subject)
