CA Gannet still no nearer

Seems that the guy behind Classic Airframes has decided to abandon work on any new kits for the time being. He claims that the economic situation means that he needs to "ride out the recession" and come back to production when things improve. That's his story anyway!

So, that's pretty sad for us folks who have been waiting for the 48th scale Gannet AEW3. It's starting to sound like it's never going to happen. The problem with this notion of "resting" is that it seems to be a decision made in isolation (all the other modelling manufacturers seems to be doing very well, in fact modelling magazine sales have gone up!) so it sounds like there may be more to it. Likewise, it seems that he is now doing work on masters and parts for other manufacturers, so you have to wonder if his temporary rest might turn into something rather longer?

Anyway, the poor ol' Gannet is still somewhere way over the horizon sadly. Hmm... why does that phrase sound appropriate for an AEW Gannet?!
