TOP GUN decals (from the film)
hi guys i have come in to the possession of pdf's in 1/32, 1/48 and 1/72 scale alond with plans and placement guides for the f-14's flown by maverick, cougar, ice and slider, all you have to do is print them out on A4 clear decal paper, anyone interested?
Re: TOP GUN decals (from the film)
no probs mate send me your email addy and ill wizz a zipped file off to you
i was thinking, that 1/32 takes a whole sheet, 1 /48 takes half a sheet and 1.72 a third so i may see how much paper is and print 2 on one if that makes sense and share them out, but please have a look at them and see if you think there ok, theu look good to me

Re: TOP GUN decals (from the film)
All indication show them to be 'A's' as a flight of F-14A's from VF-51 Screaming Eagles and VF-111 Sundowners were used. Is there much difference between the two?
Re: TOP GUN decals (from the film)
heres an exert from the sheet info
The F-14s seen in the movie carried fictitious markings never worn by real-life Tomcat squadrons. Aircraft from Maverick's and Cougar's squadron used tail markings based on the West Coast Hawkeye RAG, VAW-110, while Iceman's came from a Hornet squadron, VFA-25. Scenes filmed at Miramar, CA, and Fallon, NV, were done with Tomcats provided by VF-51 and VF-111, and on the USS Enterprise, from VF-114 and VF-213. For these decals, only the Bureau Numbers of the VF-51 and -111 aircraft were availalbe ("Tomcat Alley" by David Brown).
The Jets:
---------
All appear to have been painted in some variation(s) of the Tactical Paint Scheme, and were heavily weathered; CVW-15 had just returned home after a 6-month WESTPAC not long before shooting began, and the jets still showed the abuse. Stencilling and data markings were standard lo-viz (available in many commercially-produced decal sheets). The Tomcats used in the movie had uncommon-style 'RESCUE' arrows, with the letters stacked, and so these have been provided.

Oh well if you are printing, you may as well do a run
If you do print some I could go for a trade at the WAVE. Do you accept Hawks as payment
