No longer limited!
From their latest newsletter;
We can confirm that the two limited edition kits awaiting release this year, the new 1:48 scale H.S. Sea Vixen FAW.2 (A11002) and the new 1:72 scale Vickers Valiant (A11001) will now not be produced in limited quantities and will be standard releases within the Airfix range.
This decision has been made due to the overwhelming interest in both kits.

Re: Airfix Limited Edition.......
Superb,, I will be getting both of those, really good to see a large scale Vixen released...and awesome to see a Valiant at last!! Good one Airfix

Re: Airfix Limited Edition.......
I read this earlier, it is good to here they will be standard kits and not Ltd editions as this may keep the price half decent (although I doubt it). The rrp of the vixen will be at the moment about £34-36, there isnt any further info on the valiant as yet. Im with you mark I will be getting both as the valiant would look nice next to my nimod projects im planning and Ive always wanted a 48th vixen

Re: Airfix Limited Edition.......
I have a feeling that Horny have decided to quietly abandon the daft "Limited Edition" scam - and a good thing too! I hear that the Vixen and Valiant might not be released until next year now?
Re: Airfix Limited Edition.......

Re: Airfix Limited Edition.......
Cheers Gary, I'd love to be proved wrong here, but I could never imagine Airfix [or any other manufacturer] releasing a 1/24th Valiant..it would measure up with a wingspan of 1.4m with an overall length of 1.3m!!!
That would be overly huge.
Where as the 1/72nd version scales up at a more reasonable 48cm wingspan and 45cm length.
