February '84 was the first time a RAFG Harrier refuelled from a VC10. Pity we won't be able to celebrate that anniversary in two months time.

Seeing 16 airborne is impressive, but IVsqn had some photos in their album of a nine ship formation take off from a grass strip at Padderborn. The a/c were in a row wingtip to wingtip.
