Hi
As a member of the team i can update this a little further.

We have the port engine out of the aircraft and a scrap engine which is being stripped ahead of the live engine as a learning tool to prevent any accidental damage as we take it apart. The starboard engine is still in the aircraft. Unfortunately our spare engine has been found to have stuck mechanisms on the inlet guide vane arms that also requires attention eventually.
The port and scrap engines are both stood on their noses currently and stripped from the rear end down to the back of the HP turbine section.

As a team we have an ex rolls royce project leader and many other willing hands and there is no question that we will succeed, it'll take time but we will do it.

Tooling is arriving this weekend to allow us to start taking the HP turbine rotors out so work is progressing nicely.
