Radar Corridors

Post by Typhoon73 » Wed Oct 17, 2012 5:40 pm

Hello,
This post is for the people who aren't 100% sure on Radar Corridors and want to get extra information about them.
I was stumbling across the Internet and found this great website that explains a little about the Radar Corridors. I'm sure there's many websitesouut there but I thought this might be of use to some extent to some people. But I'm sure many of you know about Radar corridors :D .
Anyway here's the website:
http://www.vatsim-uk.co.uk/website/down ... adID=00197

Hope this is of some use and not just useless as most of you will know about Radar Corridors.

Cheers for the link :thumb:
I often pick aircraft up on Lichfield and Daventry frequencies and have wondered roughly where they were, now I know.
Thankyou

You could have looked (for the past few years) on this very forum and you would have known....
I made a corridor map several years ago and up until recently was on the aeroresource website linked at the top right of this page....and now located here (combined with Air-Air Refuel Areas):-
http://www.aeroresource.co.uk/files/fig ... ra_map.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For AWACS Orbit Areas
http://www.aeroresource.co.uk/files/fig ... it_map.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and for Low Fly Areas
http://www.aeroresource.co.uk/files/fig ... fa_map.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can download them and zoom in.

Yep, thanks for this Rich, I knew there'd be a better Map somewhere, just thought the link included some more info and detail :thumb: .
Cheers for posting them.

292.525 no longer in use, Lichfield traffic usually use 252.875 or 277.625

Keep an eye on this site for updates to the danger areas.
http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/in ... id=11.html
Scroll down to ENR 6.75 or 6.76.
Please Note: The actual address of these maps changes when they are amended. Links to them will only work for a short while.
I have never seen an official Awacs orbits map. This site has one though. Don't know how up to date it is. http://www.egxwinfogroup.co.uk/?page_id=111. Map here:-

The E-3 Orbit Areas are all on the RAF UK High ENR chart.
