There isn't really any aviation museums near to Vegas , however you could try going to Nellis AFB to see the Thunderbird museum or there is the Howard Cannon museum at the airport but there is only one aircraft there and that's a Cessna hanging over baggage claim. Alternatively if you want to take a drive you can head out to Edwards AFB and take the tour of the base if there are spaces available , however the Edwards AFB Open House is on October 17th and is usually well worth the approx 3 hour drive . Here is the websites :
http://www.a2zlasvegas.com/otherside/museums.html ( lists all museums around Vegas )
http://www.edwards.af.mil/questions/topic.asp?id=812 ( you will need to make reservations )
Hope this helps , any other questions fell free to pm me.
