Does New Zealand still have an Air Force of any sort?

Re: New Zealand Airbases
Whenuapai is very spotter friendly - both in attitude and places to watch - in fact the western end has a layby with info boards on the based Sqns and aircraft.
Shame that there are few movements - best you can hope for is one of the Herks or P-3s doing some circuits and bumps - Yeah!
Also in Auckland is Ardmore - the GA airfield - worth a trip - the warbirds hangar has a few interesting bits and bobs and the locals are more than happy to be visited.
RNZAF Ohakea - about 8 hours south of Auckland isn't very good for spotting
