Anyone heading over?
I'll be in Loughborough, but stuck for a lift so I thought I'd ask here to see if some kind person may be coming nearby? I'll contribute to petrol of course!
Any help would be fantastic!
Ben

I'm sure it usually runs until about 4pm, Jets go off in half hour slots. Flyer for Sunday says Victor, Lightning, JP, Iskra, Buccaneer, Hunter, Nimrod, Comet and Canberra. In previous years I've seen aircraft do more than one run. Are all 3 Buccs running ? I know they did last time but haven't seen anything to say they will this time, really hope so because I missed the last one.

This is just a pure guess but i dont think there maintenance free aircraft,
and i think you need fuel to run them, outherwise there end up on the scrapheep.
I for one dont want to see that ,so ill be there with me £15 ,becouse theres no where else ,
you can see a line up like that.

You get too see the other aircraft on the field too, remember. Not that they'll be of interest to many on this forum, because they're non-moving, but there we are!

You've gotta be joking ! Nowhere else do you get as near to live aircraft as this. If you've never heard or forgotten what a Lightning sounds and feels like doing a full bore blast down the runway then you need to go.

Knackered has beens? How about an active display of the cold war? Or how great the British aviation industry used to be?
My greatest respect and thanks goes to the folks who put in hours and hours looking after and keeping these superb aircraft active.

Obviously hasnt been so should probably keep your opinions to yourself. Will be going with the kids, they need to experience the sight, sound and smell!

Hoping to attend this myself (sorry Ben, will be coming in from a different direction).
Will be wearing my RAF branded blue soft shell jacket.
Anyone spots me, please say hello.

I shall have a
gander (sorry!) and see what I can find! Myself and Dunc will most likely be in a Hawg T-shirt, I may go with something garish like my Czech Ice Hockey shirt if it's looking a bit nippy to ease identification!

You know when you chat to people on the phone and then they never look how you imagine when you see them in real life ?
You must look like Lt. Bradshaw or my dreams will be shattered, so if not, stay outta my way !
(okay, maybe not my dreams but you know what I mean)

If you've never been then go...
If you've been then you'll want to go again.
It's awesome and that's in the true sense of the word.
Last time, as the Lightning went past i saw a woman looking round at her partner, she had an expression on her face that i've only seen once before. It was the same expression that my mates wife had when we walked into her shop just after she'd been held up at gunpoint ! I kid you not.
Worth every penny!

I went to the open day back in May and I can easily say it's was one of the most enjoyable £15s I've spent this year!
