The fact there is no "real" commitment to this by the Government is pitiful. This is merely lip service.

Out of casual interest, what would you like to see by way of "real" commitment?

I wouldn’t worry too much. Looking back at their posts it’s clear they’ve spent a little bit too long reading the Daily Mail.

From https://www.gov.uk/government/news/publ ... d-fly-past

"The flypast will include a Voyager transport aircraft, a P8 Poseidon surveillance aircraft, Typhoon and F-35 fighter jets and will culminate with the iconic red, white, and blue smoke of the Royal Air Force’s Red Arrows.
Historic Second World War-era aircraft from the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will also take part in the flypast."

The press release from the government as the link above say 23 aircraft ,this includes the BBMF plus the Red Arrows if so what a insult to the WW 11 veteran's after all it's probably the last opportunity to thank them.
I hope the number is a typo

It doent seem to be a large flypast but remember f35s will be away and the typhoon force is pretty busy at the moment.

I read as 23 plus Red Arrows, so still worth a trip to photo from my normal spot on the wobbly bridge.

Dont usually bother about cross border stuff except when its a bit of banter but have to admit the eyes turn a bit green when I read your LN and MH sightings along with all the flypasts.Very little passes here now and its usually cloudy.Still I suppose being a very old Celtic supporter green isnt too bad.

Enjoy the fly past.
