Pinging on the ground at the momment
Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
And earlier today. FR24 shows it moving about both days between the hangar and the runway.
Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
FR24 shows a departure Tuesday at 1100 from BHX Birmingham to SEN Southend

Call sign suggested to be BOEING 24. STA @ Southend of 1138 (Courtesy FR24)
Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
Hoping to see this. Is the multistorey in Terminal Road an NCP one? I can't see the NCP signs on Street view. It says Freeport. Anyway, I need to know how to pay please.
Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
IIRC it's quite expensive to park anywhere at the Airport. Would you not be better parking somewhere with views at the end of the runway. I'm not local but IIRC there's spots at each end.
Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
The multi storey NCP on Terminal Road was free for quite a while, not sure that is still true (the machines were not working). The website say £1.70 for 90 minutes pay on the day at the car park. After 90 minutes it goes upto £8.50 for 2 hours.
Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
Just arrived at southend for painting 35 mins late not using Boe flight number on FR24
Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
Had a successful trip, except for the weather. Thanks for info above. It does now have NCP signs but when I selected it from their app, it said the nearest was the Railway station! Not to worry, you have to press the Assistance button to make the barrier go up, then ANPR logs your arrival and you follow your nose up the multi storey. The upper decks were strangely full of taxi drivers looking for somewhere to perch and the top deck was closed for parking. There are stairs in the corner and you can walk up the ramp to brave the weather. Coming out, you have to drive to the entrance to use the pay machine. You start typing your car number and it shows you a photo and tells you the fee (as above). You just pay contactless and have twenty minutes to drive out. Hope this helps anyone looking for WT002 and WT003!
Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
I squeezed in for the £1.70 and ninety minutes was plenty in this weather. You get views of the apron in front of their hangar, the taxiways, the point to cross the runway and of the planes along most of its length. Unfortunately, these are all interrupted by buildings and trees and many poles and masts but quite tolerable. One end or the other would be somewhat limited. Recommended for ninety minutes but you don't want to know what it costs for 121 minutes.

Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
Maybe but here's a trick. I contacted NCP by online chat and you can drive out (for £1.70) and straight back in (for another ninety minutes and £1.70) and it's ok!

RadarBox showing it as routing along the South Coast to SAM and then to Brize. I was hoping for it to head to Suffolk before Brum.
Re: WT001 Wedgetail BHX
