USAF Airframe Wing Allocation
USAF Airframe Wing Allocation
Hello,
Not sure if this the right place to post but couldn't really see anywhere else to ask
Is there a database or a reference book with what wings/ squadron's airframes are allocated too?
I'm trying to tie up radio scanning with what units planes are allocated too
Thanks in advance!

Try the Scramble database. Select your chosen Squadron, remember to check "active only" It will list only 30 hits , not sure how to get more ?

Or you can buy this book for just over £10 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Military-Aircr ... d_source=1
Which is described as
"First published in the 1970s, Military Aircraft Markings has become an indispensable annual publication for aircraft enthusiasts, historians and students of military aviation. At the heart of Military Aircraft Markings is the most complete listing of all the aircraft of the UK Armed Forces; the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Army and associated units. For each entry the military serial, aircraft type, unit/operator and usual base are given.
Further listings cover Ireland's military aircraft and historic aircraft in military markings. Other sections of Military Aircraft Markings include American military aircraft based in Europe, overseas military aircraft which may be seen in the UK, unit markings and a unit serial number/letter de-code. In addition, the book provides a comprehensive listing of visiting aircraft from overseas air forces that may be seen during the air display season, together with a new full colour photo section.
Also included are details of the UK's main military air bases, a maintenance of unit-cross reference and detailed RAF Squadron markings. This new 2024 edition of Military Aircraft Markings has been fully revised and updated by one of Britain's leading authorities on military aviation. This is the must-have companion for all those interested in UK military aviation.

Another excellent serials resource is from the late Joe Baugher, sadly since his passing does not appear to being updated but at least it is still freely available.

Yes thought it would something like membership, still a great free resource.

TPMC
The MAM publication will not answer your question (Sorry Stuart). The Mach III publication "US Airforce Directory" has a small section at the back that covers this as does "Scramble Military Serials North America.

Re: USAF Airframe Wing Allocation
I think Doughnut's advice above will get you to the best answer. Scramble's on-line database is probably more up to date than any book, which presumably becomes out of date quite quickly after publication.
Re: USAF Airframe Wing Allocation
RAF4EVER's suggestion is the best online resource that has been mentioned so far (apart from Scramble), it's an updated version of Joe Baugher's website :- https://www.crouze.com/baugher/
