Found this article announcing the arrival at USCG Elizabeth City ALC of the first new build cab for the USCG's MH-60T's.
Anyone know if these will be new USCG serials or will they assume the previous identity ?

Good question I saw that press release too as they be refurbished airframes, then again look at our re vamped Boeing AH-64E Guardian for AAC - from the D models … the serialsJAWS wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 8:48 amFound this article announcing the arrival at USCG Elizabeth City ALC of the first new build cab for the USCG's MH-60T's.

I thought the AAC AH-64E were completly new helicopters that used just a few parts reclaimed from the D model... so hardly a revamp.Ravendriver2008 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 12:09 pmGood question I saw that press release too as they be refurbished airframes, then again look at our re vamped Boeing AH-64E Guardian for AAC - from the D models … the serialsJAWS wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 8:48 amFound this article announcing the arrival at USCG Elizabeth City ALC of the first new build cab for the USCG's MH-60T's.

Re: New Cabs for USCG MH-60T's
Correct, Alf. These "refurbed" MH-60s appear to be very triggers' broom!
So a new nose, cabin, and bit that connects to the tailboom. Same airframe? Hmmm...The first MH-60T helicopter to receive the new airframe, consisting of nose, cabin and aft transition structures combined as a single assembly

Re: New Cabs for USCG MH-60T's
I think that us “spotters” need to remember that the actual airframe makes up a small percentage of the cost of an aircraft.
As it says, the USCG “will remove all dynamic (moving) components, digital cockpit, mission systems and engines”. So a lot of dollars worth.
So as far as they are concerned it is refurbished.
As I collect the cabin of a helicopter, and not gearboxes etc, to me it is a new aircraft, irrespective of whether it gets a new serial or not.
Same for me for UK Apaches (new airframe).
But not for AH-64A to AH-64D conversions, which used the same fuselage.
