Coming in to LAW in 14 days time!
Spotting in general can sometimes be considered a criminal activity in Poland
Hello everyone,
President Andrzej Duda has signed today the law, which enables operators of critical infrastructure to issue photography bans.
This is exactly what it means:
- Operators of critical infrastructure (airports, railway lines, ports, highways, etc. ) they can now put up photo ban signs.
- Violations of the photography ban can result in fines, imprisonments and seizure of cameras.
- Infrastructure operators (in the case of the railway, among others, PKP PLK) can grant (one-time) exceptional authorizations.
- It is forbidden on a photo ban sign to photograph anything related to that infrastructure (buildings, people, vehicles, etc.) )
The law comes into force in 14 days. How this will be handled with photography will reveal itself in the next few weeks/months.
Non-Polish speaking photographers can currently be advised to leave the camera in your pocket.

*humourous.
And cheer up, humans have either been at or near war since the dawn of civilisation. May as well have a laugh.
Having said that, this is bullet in the head for trainspotters too!
