If you look at the army seelcting the Bell V-280 Valor as is winner of FVL ( Future Vertical Lift) partially spec ops requirement aimed at the Indo-Pacific area. And also speaking to former US Army aviators the other month at Heli Expo in Atlnata, the likes of Nightstalkers would rather self deploy / hit the ground running than rely on the USAF AMC / ANG / AFRES C-5M and C-17A to the fight. in short no need to disassemble, reassemble airframes at Main Operating Base.
cheers

Wonder what the saftey record of the V-280 will be like given the V-22's history if they are join to be used in large quantities?
Still looking forward to seeing them eventually.

Out of this SOF Week in Tampa, is the knock on effect from FARA cancellation that an A/MH-6 Little Bird replacement is not going to happen.
