It seems that the Belgian Sea King RS02 has successfully flown, and RS04 has performed engine runs ! There are a couple of Videos on YouTube.

Thank goodness for that! I was really worried by the silence for the past few months.

Videos below, from the Historic Helicopters Youtube channel:

Here's hoping for many airshow appearances to come.

Exciting times.

In the alternative... Am I missing something here?
Quote.. "It seems that the Belgian Sea King RS02 has successfully flown". I can't see from the video links when these recordings were made, but surely if you were (just saying) looking to dispose of these airframes they would have greater projected value & ease of movement if they were flyable? In the absence of any factual news release from 'HH' since the last-minute cancellation of the Open Day I don't see a real basis for ecstatic celebration at this time!

Well with the state of heritage aviation as it is, Iam taking a positive outlook on this bit of news tbh, but hey each to there own.

They sent out an email last night saying that since the cancellation of the open day they where busy getting RS02 ready for its permit flight which going by their wording was on Thursday the 29th September.

Nothing wrong with optimism, but as SeaFuryFan states above..."Well with the state of heritage aviation as it is" all perceived good news should be tempered with a good dose of realistic possibility!
Historic Helicopters have usually been very pro-active on the comm's front, but this cancellation & lack of news distribution is reasonable grounds for concern about the business?
Don't worry Ghastly Whisper....I misplaced my Rose-tinted glasses just before the last party I did, not my fault the guests all topped themselves...Just sayin' !
